P2023: PDP Resets as Sokoto Governor, Tambuwal, Resigns, BoT Chair, Jibrin, Follows, Adolphus Wabara Takes Over (PHOTOS)

In a series of high level meetings held today by the PDP top hierarchy at the party’s Wadata Plaza Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, as part of steps to resolve issues threatening the party’s unity in the run up to the 2023 election, the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal has resigned as the Chairman, PDP Governors Forum.

In the same vein, the Chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees, Walid Jibrin has also resigned his position while a former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara has taken over Chairmanship of the BoT in acting capacity.

The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal has however been named the DG of the Atiku/PDP Campsign Organisation.

This is to realign offices of the party and those associated with it to reflect fairness and balance among the nation’s geopolitical zones.

Recall that a group of PDP stakeholders led by the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has been agitating for a realignment of offices within the party as part of prerequisites to resolving the lingering differences among top stakeholders of the party
