Normalcy Returns to Supreme Court after Early Morning Fire
The fire that gutted an office in the Supreme Court complex of the Three Arms Zone, Abuja, early Monday morning has been put under control.
In a report monitored on AIT by this news site, the fire was reported to have started around 7:48 am and was eventually put out around 8:15am.
According to the Apex Court’s Director of Information, the fire was caused by an electricity surge in the office of Justice Ibrahim Mohammed Musa Saulawa.
Although documents were said to have been affected in the inferno, the Director of Information said there was no cause for alarm as all documents were backed up in soft copies.
The fire has not affected activities in the Apex Court as litigants have continued to go about their businesses without any form of let or hindrance.
