IAPHD Hits the Streets with “Feed the Needy” Initiative, Reaches Out to Hundreds of Vulnerable Nigerians (PHOTOS)
A non-profit organisation, Impact Alliance for Peace and Human Development (IAPHD), has embarked on another humanitarian service after its free vocational training of children of some select orphanage homes in Abuja last August.

According to the President and Founder, Mr Chuks P. Iwunoh, the training programme was in line with the vision and mission of IAPHD to empower the less privileged with relevant skills, turn them to entrepreneurs and employers of labour while giving them hope for the future.

This time around, the organisation in its bid to tackle the scourge of hunger in society used the opportunity of the Independent Day holidays to reach out to hundreds of hunger-stricken members of the public in the streets of Abuja.

In an interaction with News Medal, Mr Joseph Opene (Vice President) and other members of the team, Ojolola Olayinka Ebenezer, Iloori Happiness Zaasi, Jaja Cassandra C., Favour Ofa Ajom, Melvyn Emereoha, Simisola Tunde, Fadara Mayokun Emmanuel, Raphael Okenwa and Elsie Ezinne Ekomaru said the outreach to the hungry was a continuation of the fulfillment of the mandate of IAPHD to kick out hunger in the land and ameliorate the sufferings of the downtrodden in the society.

They confirmed that many of similar outreaches by the organisation were in the offing.

“Impact Alliance for Peace and Humanitarian Development, IAPHD, embarked on the transformative journey with one simple goal: to feed the needy and nourish hearts. Our ‘Feed the Needy’ campaign brought together volunteers, donors, and the indomitable spirit of compassion to make a profound impact.

“With unwavering dedication, our team worked tirelessly to provide food, hope, and dignity to 200 individuals facing hunger and hardship. The campaign wasn’t just about filling empty stomachs, it was about nourishing the human spirit, one meal at a time.

“As we distributed meals and essential supplies, we witnessed the power of unity and kindness. Smiles replaced frowns, and a sense of community prevailed. Each meal became a symbol of love and solidarity, reminding us that together, we can be the change we wish to see in the world.
“The ‘Feed the Needy’ campaign by IAPHD is a testament to the difference we can make when we stand together for a common purpose. We are not just feeding bodies, we are also feeding the hopes and dreams of our communities.

“As a non-governmental and non-profit organisation whose goal is to build an empowered and developed society coexisting in peace and harmony, we call on every public spirited Nigerian to join us in this journey of compassion and transformation to nourish hearts because in unity, we find strength, and in compassion, we find the path to a brighter future.”
