Collaborate with the US over Intelligence on Securiry Threat in Abuja, Chuks Iwunoh Tells FG

A security professional, Mr Chuks Iwunoh has advised the Federal Government of Nigeria to collaborate more with the United States of America with a view to sharing intelligence on the reported threats of terrorists on the nation’s Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, so the threat can be effectively nipped in the bud.

Mr Iwunoh who is a member of the International Institute of Professional Security (IIPS), trained human rights consultant from the US Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, Washington DC and President/Founder of Impact Alliance for Peace and Humanitarian Development (IAPHD), stated this today in a chat with newsmedal.ng.

He said rather than try to whittle down the importance of the security advice by the US, Nigeria should seek to have a share of the intelligence and work closely with the US and the global intelligence community in order to forestall any attack on Abuja and even other parts of the country, stating that there is nothing to be ashamed of in seeking a share of the intelligence as countries of the world now depend on one another in the fight against terror.

He further admonished security agencies in the country not to leave any stone unturned in the current efforts to neutralise the dastardly plans of the terrorists and keep the people safe.
