2023: Against Christian Beliefs, African Culture, Aguocha Makes Gay Rights a Priority

A candidate for Federal House of Representatives at the forthcoming general elections, Aguocha has declared that one of the laws he will vigorously pursue to be passed at the National Assembly will be the legalisation of homosexuality and lesbianism.

Aguocha was reported to have made the declaration in an online Zoom meeting he had with some selected members of the gay community in Nigeria.

While speaking at the meeting, Aguocha who is reportedly gay and wears customised adult pampers as a result, was said to have urged the gay community to work hard but discreetly for his success at the polls and he would repay them by pushing hard for the legalisation of homosexuality and lesbianism at the National Assembly.

One of those who joined the meeting but prefers to remain anonymous for fear of public backlash quoted Aguocha to have said that gays in Nigeria deserve to be protected just like their counterparts in the US and UK, declaring that there was nothing wrong with being gay and that people should stop stigmatising anybody simply because their sexual preferences are different to others. He was also said to have told those at the meeting that it was time to move on from begging for acceptance from Nigerians to being self-assertive and then to legalisation.

Aguocha who was said to have been chased away by his wife and children from their home abroad since his embrace of homosexuality was discovered, has vowed to make the legalisation of homosexuality his topmost priority if elected in 2023. In return, the gay community present at the meeting were said to have promised to donate funds to boost his political campaign.

Reacting to the development, a minister of God who runs his ministry in Ohuhu land, Umuahia NorthLocalGovernmentArea, Rev Matthew Maduka told our correspondent that both the Christian teaching and the African cultural belief abhors such practice and that anyone who practises or promotes it under whatever guise is inviting the wrath of God upon himself.

“I can assure you that we know about his unnatural practice of sexual relationships and how he has been preying on young boys to satisfy this strange sexual desire of his, but we are praying to God never to allow such a man emerge a leader of our people because the consequences of such abhorrent practice will affect all those he leads. So, we are on top of the situation. The entire Christian community is against it and we have been telling our people to reject such a man with their votes to avoid curses to our land, and I know that even our traditional leaders are against him, too, because the homosexuality that candidate practises and promotes is against our African culture. So, he is just wasting his time,” the revered cleric declared!
